Geology
Short characteristics of the site: Outcrops in wine cellars. Exposures of Pouzdřany Marls which are the oldest member of the Pouzdřany Unit, of Uppermost Eocene up to Lower Oligocene age. They consist mostly of calcareous clays with silty admixture. Stratotype locality of the Pouzdřany Marls.
